Sat Shakti — founder of JOY
For over a decade, Sat Shakti built and led JOY as the UK's only dedicated Kundalini yoga studio — a busy, beloved space that welcomed thousands of students across all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. JOY has since moved online: smaller, more intimate, and led directly by Sat Shakti. The mission remains the same — to give people the tools to feel empowered, at ease, and genuinely joyful.
The Practice
Why Kundalini Yoga works
Kundalini is a precise, accessible practice — no flexibility required, no prior experience needed. Using breathwork, movement, and mantra, it works directly with the nervous system to reduce stress, sharpen focus, and build lasting resilience. It was designed for full lives, not retreats. Everyone is welcome here.
Nervous system: regulate stress and build resilience
Focus & clarity: cut through overwhelm and brain fog
Transformation: peel back the layers. Rediscover yourself.
Community: a welcoming space for everyone

“Wonderful class led by a lovely teacher. Am new to kundalini and it’s totally different from the flowing yoga classes I usually do but I loved it and will be back.”
