Kundalini Yoga Workshop
Sunday 24 September • 6-8:30PM • One KX
In this special Kundalini workshop, we'll practice Kundalini Yoga and Meditation lead by Sat Shakti Kaur with live music by Jaya Lakshmi. We'll use the sound of sacred mantra to carry us deeper into kriyas and meditation. Through the sound current we can experience healing on physical as well as emotional levels. The specific permutation of sounds of the mantras can help break limiting or demoting thought patterns so transformation can occur. The effects maybe profound but through Jaya Lakshmi's soothing voice and uplifting music, the mood will be lighthearted, relaxed, and fun.
One KX • 120 Cromer Street • London WC1H 8BS

About Jaya Lakshmi
Jaya Lakshmi began leading kirtan and writing her own devotional songs on the Big Island of Hawaii in the early 1990′s shortly after receiving harinam initiation from Srila Govinda Maharaj, a great Vaisnava saint from West Bengal, India. She went on to create 4 solo chant albums on Sequoia Records as well as became the lead singer of the live techno-trance band Lost at Last (1997-2004). In 2010 she joined forces with Ananda Yogiji and their offerings have since blossomed, producing 10 albums together. After years of touring the West Coast USA and Hawaii, Jaya Lakshmi is coming to Europe to share her music and devotional spirit in public performances in London, Glastonbury, Barcelona and Ibiza this fall. A mother and dedicated yogi, she has devoted much of her life to creating sacred music and healing others through the divine sound current.
Jaya Lakshmi has regularly practiced hatha-based yoga since 1996. Since 2010 she has integrated Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan into her daily practice, regularly attending the Summer Solstice Sadhana in Espanola, NM. She and Ananda frequently provide live music and mantra for numerous Kundalini teachers in their classes and retreats, as well as teaching and leading their own yoga-based retreats. Her most influential teachers have been Kia Miller, Sianna Sherman and Saul David Raye.
