About Sat Avtar, in her own words...
How I Found my Song
The journey started when I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia after years of mystery chronic illness. The height of this illness catapulted me to into profound life changes. I sold everything I owned, stopped working in the career I had been fighting so hard for but deep down did not truly enjoy. I made a commitment to healing the trauma of years of accumulated struggle and create a new life filled with health, purpose, and fulfillment.
Discovering my voice transformed everything. Once I made the commitment and put just a little sincere belief in myself a domino effect of change started. The immense joy of recording in the studio for the first time created waves that rippled through my biggest life challenges.
Four years ago I released my first single Guru Ram Das. I was humbled to hear stories of how it uplifted people and took away physical and emotional pain. The greatest gift I can possess is bringing people peace through music.
I've always loved music making. I started DJ’ing at 18 an underground electronic music from the UK and house music and toured playing gigs in almost every major US city, Canada, and Mexico.
I still have musical desires that stretch beyond my known limits. Life is a process of living, learning, and loving that never ends. We all have a voice, we just need to find it.
Teaching Kundalini Yoga is a great honor and I am most grateful to be a teacher and see my students find success and happiness. I have been practicing yoga for twenty years. I trained at the Guru Ram Das ashram and Baba Siri Chand Yoga Center in Massachusetts, one of the last remaining live-in ashrams Yogi Bhajan helped to create.
I teach internationally and via my online Kundalini Yoga studio Aquarian Yogi. You can find more about me at Bountiful Beautiful Blissful You my marketing, branding and design services website.
