Happy Birthday Yogi Bhajan!
Morning Call
Monday 26 August • 5:00-8:00AM
Following a longstanding tradition in the global Kundalini community, on the occasion of Yogi Bhajan's birthday, we will gather together in the morning and chant the Adi Shakti Mantra (a.k.a Long Ek Ong Kar's or Morning Call) continuously for 2 1/2 hours. We will complete this special sadhana by chanting the Guru Ram Das chant for 11 minutes.
The first mantra Yogi Bhajan taught in the United States, the Adi Shakti Mantra is a potent mantra to awaken the Kundalini energy, connect the finite self with the universal self, and to invoke a state of bliss. Meditating for 2 1/2 hours affects the psyche, clearing the subconscious mind and allowing new and more elevating thought patterns to become established.
The Guru Ram Das chant opens the heart and invokes humility and self-healing, calling on the spiritual guidance and protective grace of Guru Ram Das. This mantra was Yogi Bhajan’s personal mantra.
This morning meditation is being offered by donation. Proceeds will offset the direct expenses related to this event and support the Guru Ram Das Project which is a UK based charity set-up with the primary aim of improving the mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing of the community especially by sharing the technology of Kundalini Yoga with people and groups who wouldn't otherwise have access.
Suggested donation: £11
